Right after Maldives we decided to spend few days in Sri Lanka before heading back home. We stayed in Hikkaduwa for few days - took 3 hour tuktuk ride from Colombo, oh boy it was a long one, but worth it. Went straight to the beach to see the waves, but unfortunately no surfing in Hikkaduwa at that time so instead we played in white foamy water. Beach in Hikkaduwa is exactly like on the pictures, golden sand, foamy water, some bigger waves hitting the beach and it is picture perfect with blue sky. We enjoyed our time there. Next time if we are going to Sri Lanka the destination will be Arugam Bay. enjoy,
